Big changes are coming to Budget Guitarist. As site traffic continues to increase, I’m starting to feel a real responsibility to take this site more seriously. Thousands of people come here. That’s a fantastic thing, but this sort of started off as me blogging about guitars and is slowly transforming into something much better. Visitors want to read my take on new amps, guitars, pedals, and such, but more and more people are reading the “educational” stuff. And it turns out there’s a lot of interest in the fretwork stuff.
I used to teach 5th grade, so it’s possible for me to be able to explain things to you fuckers.
There goes half my audience. I’m kidding! Please come back. Anyway, I’ve begun reworking the site into someplace people can go to learn stuff. Because knowledge is power, and power is the ability to save money. I want this site to be a good reference place, so if someone wants to read about the different kinds of guitar wood, or where to get Fender fretwire online, or a cheaper alternative to a StewMac tool, they’ll come here. And I’ll continue to review new stuff that hits the market, from my own perspective. Because there’s never been a better time to be into electric guitar, at least from the point of buying stuff. Bang for the buck is crazy good these days.
If there’s something you’d like to see on Budget Guitarist, drop me an email. Thanks for reading, as always.
