BOSS recently announced a new guitar pedal that contains 8 amps as well as a bunch of IR files and the ability to upload more IR files. There are two foot switches on it, and it does not emulate any pedals, but it does have some EQ and reverb functions. It lists for around $400.
For around $450, the Pod Go has way more amps, tons of pedals, more switches, and a foot pedal.
Why does BOSS think people want to spend $400 on a pedal with only 8 amps and no effects pedal? It comes with 154 different speaker sims… how many speaker sims do most people use?
At $200 this could be huge. At $400, it better sound significantly better than the Pod Go or HX Stomp. And from what I’ve heard in the demo video, it doesn’t. It sounds similar. Or maybe not as good.
